10 Family Reunion

After a fun romp through the Palace-City, we faced a decision to either find Villa PaPe, our zimmer in Trogir, or meet Curtis, Cassie, Loren and Val at the Split airport. Donna provided the answer. She read us the directions to our zimmer. It went something like this:

When you enter Trogir you have to cross first bridge that will get you to the center of the town. Once you are in the town follow the road (this will be the only road) to the next bridge to Ciovo. When you cross the bridge and enter Ciovo turn right. Follow this road some cca. 1,5 km, until you reach a cafe on the beach Mediteraneo, park there and call us (contact persons Ira or Boris) if you have a mobile phone … which we didn’t.

If you are without phone try to find us by driving by Mediteraneo caffe and Bubby café bar some 100 meters. There is a little road on the left, turn there. The road is little and not easy to spot. There is a sign in front of the road TEREZA K., or on the right side of the main road there is a sign AUTO SERVIS these signs could be your guide.

Once you are in the road, go up the hill, in the middle of the way there is a curve and above it you can choose three roads. You need to take the right road, follow it up the hill, and at the end of the road you will see our house. This whole road from the entering (main street) to our house is 150 m long.

Please note if you pass sign OKRUG GORNJI or auto camp
then you missed the road turn back or phone us.

Best regards … family Rakic

Knowing that Boris, our zimmer host, would pick up our new travel companions at the airport and chauffer them to the zimmer, we thought it wise to follow ... follow closely.
Watching Donna and David reunite with their son, daughter-in-law, and in-law parents was beautiful. There was such joy in their faces … hugs and cheers all around. The new arrivals looked a bit worn but excited to finally land in Croatia and begin the adventure. Boris sped off with the Toews and Newest Bronzans while the Older Bronzans, Petey and I followed close behind … very, very close. A couple of bridges, a hairpin turn, a near miss with an oncoming car, a 2-meter wide alley with a 40-degree incline, then a 50-degree uphill driveway and we were safely parked at our temporary new home … Villa PaPe hosted by Boris and Ira Rakic … whew.
