From time to time the Smith Family enjoys leaving the familiar and immersing into the unfamiliar. Such an experience expands our understanding of ourselves and others. In 2010 we followed the Bronzan's to a foreign land with a foreign culture and a foreign language. We invited you to share our journey.
15 Island-scape
On the islands there are no lawns but lots of flowers. Dave was right. As soon as you hit the Dalmatian Coast the landscape changes dramatically. Lots of rocks, volcanic rocks. Very few if any wild plants but colorful begonias, agapanthus and many flower pots. Large bougainvillea vines drape the side of houses pouring bright purple down the walls. Enchanting Cypress trees were plentiful, providing shade with their clumpy evergreen foliage and their gnarly bark rising from the rocks.
