From time to time the Smith Family enjoys leaving the familiar and immersing into the unfamiliar. Such an experience expands our understanding of ourselves and others. In 2010 we followed the Bronzan's to a foreign land with a foreign culture and a foreign language. We invited you to share our journey.
8 Indoor Saltwater
Another hotel hit for me was the indoor salt-water pool, rectangle in shape, a quarter the size of a high school pool. It was enclosed in a large room with a spacious defused skylight roof. Splitting off from the gang one morning, I dove in solo … actually at 1.4 meters, diving was not allowed, and neither was jumping but you can’t resist a good deck-run into an empty pool while shouting, “Yipee!” My yell and splash echoed inside the indoor chamber ... cool! Repeat, rinse; repeat, rinse. I frolicked in my own warm-water pond like a little backpacker who discovers a secret watering hole while hiking on a hot summer day.
